Twenty-four members of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Wednesday dumped the ruling Labour Party (LP) in the state for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Following this development, the House which was made up of 25 members of LP and one PDP member is now comprising of 26 PDP members thereby turning the Assembly to one-party House.

Speaking, the speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon Jumoke Akindele said that she and her colleagues in the Assembly decided to leave the LP following the series of litigations within the LP.
