Apart from Akinwunmi, other members of Eagles’delegation to Khartoum include a member of the Executive Committee, Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu, Director of Technical, Dr. Emmanuel Ikpeme and a couple of secretariat Staff.

In Nigeria’s last visit to Sudan, the Super Eagles ran away 4-0 winners in a 2002 World Cup qualifier 13 years ago with a brace by Yakubu Aiyegbeni and further goals by Julius Aghahowa and Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha.

Meanwhile, Eagles’ defender Juwon Oshaniwa had last on Wednesday warned that they cannot afford to drop any points if they hope to reach the finals in Morrocco.

The MS Ashdod FC of Israel defender made the statement in an interview he granted goal.com, expressing optimism over Nigeria’s qualification hopes for the 2015 AFCON.

Oshaniwa, 24, believes the Eagles will get the maximum points against Sudan, insisting he and his teammates are fully aware of the immediate importance of the Sudan clash.

“I’m happy to still be invited to the team and the dream to ensure the country’s flag is hoisted in Morroco is our objective. We might have had our bad start, but we still have a big chance to go through as all hope is not lost,” the former Sharks defender told Goal.com.

“The games against Sudan are very important and we the players know it. We will be going out for victories both at away and home. We know how much we need to win these games because we want to go to the Nations Cup and defend our title,” he added.
