Ibadan Lauds Patience Jonathan, Jumoke Akinjide And Florence Ajimobi

The FCT minister Oloye Jumoke Akinjide met with the south-south and south east Development Initiative of Oyo state represented by High Chief Alloy Obi on proposed program schedule for today 14th October 2014 at Lekan Salami stadium yesterday 13th of October.

The first lady of the federal republic of Nigeria Dame Patience Jonathan, founder of women for change initiative was present to commission the women for change and development initiative in Oyo state.

“My dream is to see women in great position and not to be deprived of their right as a woman, this initiative programme is to awaken women and empower them for a better future” Her Excellency, Patience Jonathan said.

“The essence for the initiative development is to sensitize and empower women to be a good example of women in the community and society at large”, Oloye Jumoke Akinjide said. According to Oloye Jumoke in her statement she said it is with great pleasure to come to my origin with the first lady of our country (mama peace) to improve and empower our women for a better and reliable future.

According to the Onyendu Ndigbo of Ibadanland, Chief Alloy Obi representing the south east and the Obazughanmen of Benin, High Chief J. O Edobor welcomes the first lady and Oloye jumoke to Ibadan. They also appreciate them for such program brought to the city of Ibadan to improve women, not only the indigenes but also to non-indigenes.

However, Chief Alloy Obi advice all women at the initiative development program to remain a useful tool for the change that is needed.
