The leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been reportedly flown out of the country for medical treatment.

It was gathered yesterday, that Tinubu was flown to London in his private jet on Friday, October 24, as his ailing health deteriorated.

According to report, the APC chieftain is suffering from an ailment which affects his posture and balance as well his movement, speech and writing.

A close aide said: “He has been manifesting symptoms of Parkinson disease which include tremor, shaky limbs, hands and fingers, slow movement, impaired posture and balance and loss of automatic movements.”

The aide added that he was also suffering from another undisclosed disease which is being managed at a specialist hospital in Houston, USA.

The source who said Tinubu has been managing the ailment for almost a decade, explained that his withdrawal from vying as the deputy of retired General Muhammadu Buhari in the forthcoming 2015 elections was as a result of his failing health.

According to the aide, he was accompanied by his wife, Senator Remi Tinubu and the former national chairman of the APC, Chief Bisi Akande.

When contacted, APC bigwigs in the state and at the national level declined commenting on their leader’s health status.

Recall that some weeks back, there were reports that Tinubu was sick and had been flown abroad for medical treatment.

The APC leader had however debunked the report on his return back to the country in September.

Before his return, Tinubu took to twitter to deny the rumours about his sickness saying:

“May God forgive the rumour monger because they don’t want they are doing? Those with evil towards me may God guide them right.”
