The Oyo State Commissioner of Police CP A. Kola Shodipo lectured members of the public on how crime and criminality can be nailed in our society .This was as part of his familiarization tour  to divisions under Agodi Area Command in Ibadan Oyo state, Nigeria of the  West African Continent.

"Always be security conscious, security is not Police business alone, it is for everybody and security start with you and I" CP said. However he admonished the people of Agodi Area Command in Ibadan Oyo State to keep supporting the Nigeria Police force for a better security of lives and properties.

The Oyo Police Command boss was at the office of the Vice Chancellor, University Of Ibadan and the Polytechnic Ibadan for courtesy visit.  

The Vice Chancellor of University of Ibadan, Prof. Isaac Folorunsho Adewole welcomed the CP to Oyo State and he wished him a peaceful stay in Oyo state. "there will be a strategic alliance between the Nigerian police and University of Ibadan, I will give all the support to help you conveniently carry out your primary assignment, we will help police officer who are willing to take up courses in our university" VC assure the Commissioner.

"In all societies, you cannot but have bad eggs, but the police force has been of great help, the level of student violence had dropped to zero level" Rector of the Polytechnic Ibadan, Prof. Olatunde Fawole said. However he said he was overwhelmed with the CP's visit and he assure the CP they are ready to support in improving the security of lives and properties.

The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) said, we are always pleased to help the Police because we are helping the Police to help ourselves. Crime is not as common as it used to be, we can now sleep with our two eyes closed because we now have a reliable Police officers who are working tirelessly for peace to reign in our community.

"Family background is one of the determinant factor of a well secured society, don't harbour criminals, ask your children questions if you see them with things they cannot afford" CP advised.

The Commissioner of Police further said, Nigerian Police are becoming professionals in their field, we are ready to work, but when there is no motivation, they tends to do shabby work  that is why we cannot do it alone without your support. The CP appreciated the members of the public for their immense support towards the Police in Oyo state Nigeria.
