Liberian President, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf
If report reaching the news desk of CEOAFRICA.com from Monrovia, the capital of Liberia is anything to go by, then respite is underway for students that failed the last entrance examination to University of Liberia.
President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf disclosed that the school would admit 1,800 of those students in the next academic session beginning next month.
Mrs.Sirleaf said she had held a round table discussion with the officials of the University and they agreed to admit some of them.
The mass failure, according to Mrs.Sirleaf, was as a result of high standard the University set for admission this year, even though she did not disclose why the university officials agreed to admit those students after saying they won’t do so in the past.
It would be recalled that all the 25,000 school leavers that participated in the entrance examination failed.
