Just In: Chaos as Police disbands, teargas Obi's supporters in Ebonyi

The Nigeria Police Force in Ebonyi State on Saturday disbanded the supporters of the OBI-dient movement who had gathered at the Pastoral Centre, Abakaliki for the one-million-march.
Recall that CEOAFRICA had reported that the One-Million-March in support of Peter Obi the Labour Party Presidential candidate held in Oyo, Enugu and other parts of the Country.
The Nigeria Police Force in Ebonyi used teargas to disperse the supporters who numbered over 1,000, which caused both human and vehicular traffic on the popular Old Enugu Road, in the capital city, on Saturday morning.
One of the Supporters identified as Steve Ugama said that four of his colleagues were arrested by the Police
He said, “This is inhuman and undemocratic. We have gathered here this Morning for our peaceful March, all of a sudden, the Police came and started tear-gassing us and arresting our people.’’
“They said we can’t hold the march, because Governor David Umahi asked them to stop us, that we can’t hold it. About four oF our colleagues have been arrested. We need help here.”
