Buhari celebrates Juju Maestro, Sunny Ade at 76

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, celebrated Juju music maestro and Multi-Instrumentalist, Sunday Adegeye, known as King Sunny Ade, ahead of his 76th birthday on September 22nd.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, titled ‘President Buhari hails King Sunny Ade at 76.’
He said; “President Buhari rejoices with the Internationally renowned Artiste, who is the first Nigerian to be nominated for Grammy in the 80’s, playing a significant role in the huge success of the Country’s music industry, with influence across genres, including Hollywood, where his songs were featured in many movies.’’
“As the talented guitarist turns 76, the President extols the gifted songwriter, producer and visiting professor of music at the Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife for taking Nigeria’s local beats to the World, exporting the rich culture and placing instruments like the ‘talking drum’ on Global spotlight for research and adaption.”
Buhari emphasised that the recognitions and awards including the National award, Member of the Federal Republic, the multi-talented entertainer has received over the years are all well deserved.
The President prayed for his good health, strength and grace of more creativity.
