Five killed in building collapse in Nairobi

A Governor in Nairobi has said that at least five people including two children lost their lives on Monday, after a six-story building collapsed in Kirigiti, in the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya.
The Governor of Kirigiti, Kimani Wamatangi, who confirmed the incident on his Twitter page said the building which was under construction suddenly caved-in, in the early hours of Monday.
He said; “We have lost five people in the collapsed… building,”
“Several people have already been pulled out of the rubble, and rushed to the hospital. Sadly, some are feared to have succumbed to their injuries.’’
Wamatangi noted that a married couple, a mother and her two children were among the five fatalities.
The cause of the collapse is unknown.
