NAIA to inaugurate Automated car parking service, as it clocks 40

The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja will be inaugurating its Airport parks and Pay Automated car parking service as it celebrates 40 years.
The inauguration will be done by the Managing Director, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN, Captain Rabiu Yadudu on September 29th.
The acting General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Faithful Hope-Ivbaze, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, said the airport has also developed into a hub for the North-Central region of Nigeria and beyond.
Hope-Ivbaze said; “The airport prides in the possession of world-class airport facilities including a brand new international terminal with a passenger handling capacity of 15 million per annum inaugurated by President Muhammadu Buhari-led Administration in December, 2018, a recently rehabilitated domestic terminal, as well as a haji/cargo terminal.’’
The Acting General Manager noted that the airport has won several awards including the Best Airport in safety in 2018 by Airport Council International and the ACI’s Airport Service Quality Award in 2020, amongst others.
Hope-Ivbaze said in marking the milestones achieved all these years, the celebration of the 40th anniversary will be held at the airport on September 29th, 2022.
She also said that passengers, Stakeholders and former Managers of the airport will also receive awards for their contributions to the development of the airport.
“The hallmark of the event will be the inauguration of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airports Park & Pay Automated Car Parking Service by the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Capt. Rabiu Hamisu Yadudu,’’ she added.
