The Provost, Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology (FCAH&PT), Ibadan, Dr Adekoya Olatunde Owosibo, has sent his felicitations to the country and Nigerians on the occasion of her 62nd independence anniversary, today, Saturday, October 1, 2022.
Nigeria gained her independence on October 1, 1960, and today marks her 62 years of independence.
Joining in the celebration, the don listed some of the things the Nigeria has achieved within her 62 years of independence, including uninterrupted democracy for about 23 years, agricultural reform, improved access to education, especially for the girl child among others.
While recounting some of the challenges facing the country, he explained that every society faces both the dry and the rainy season.
He further called on the youth to avoid violence, especially as the 2023 general elections are just four months away.
