The President, African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina, has received the Exclusive Men of the Year Africa Awards for Man of the Year. He wrote on his Twitter page on Friday, “I am greatly honoured to be named 2022 Man of the Year by EMY Africa Awards. Thank you EMY Africa. I will continue to selflessly serve Africa.”

Adesina, who is a former Minister of Agriculture, got some accolades from his followers. A Twitter user, Adebamiro Damilola wrote, “We are super proud of you. We would also love to honour you soon as a proud son of the soil from Ijebu, Ogun State. We need our leaders to take a cue from you someday. We hope to have you back in Nigeria as the president of the nation. Keep the flag flying.”

On his part, Taiwo Jeremi said, “Congratulations. You inspire me a lot. I would love to meet you one day, my dear mentor from afar. Your love for Africa is contagious. God bless you and your team at AfDB.”
