The operatives from the Solid Mineral Unit of the Nigerian Security & Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Delta State Command, have arrested three suspects for illegal mining activities in Ugbokodo waterside in Okpe Local Government Area.
The NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Dsc Emeka Peters Okwechime, disclosed this in a signed statement.
Okwechime said the names of the arrested suspects were, Eze Emmanuel, ‘M’ 32yrs from Ebonyi State; Samuel Ige, ‘M’ 40yrs from Oyete in Isoko LGA in Delta State and Isa Idris ‘M’ aged 18yrs from Kano State.
The PRO noted that the suspects were arrested from a credible intelligence tip-off available to the command.
“Although the suspects have been granted administrative bail, they would be charged to court when investigations are concluded,” he added.
