Two female suicide bombers Tuesday hit the vicinity of the busy Maiduguri market killing several people and displacing several traders.

Security agencies are trying to rescue the injured and evacuate the corpses. None of the traders or eyewitness was able to give the exact numbers of the casualties.

Another eyewitness however stated that one of the female attackers kept a parcel in one of the shops on One-way, a commercial area beside the popular Monday Market

She had told the traders that she wanted to pick something from the market and few minutes after she left the shop, the bomb detonated.

"And as people were still wondering what happened and were trying to rescue the injured, another woman in the same area detonated a bomb planted on her. This claimed so many lives."
