The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State, has said an over speeding truck fell on a car killing one person, along the Abeokuta-Ota road.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) spokesperson, Florence Okpe, who confirmed the incident said the crash happened around Eruku, involving an Iveco container truck with registration number, LAR654YD and a Peugeot car with no registration number.
Okpe said two male adults were involved in the crash and “one person was killed and the other person was unhurt.”
She said; “The suspected cause of the crash was excessive speed, which led to loss of control on the part of the truck as it fell on the car.’’
The spokesperson noted that FRSC operatives are managing the situation and a crane has been contacted to lift the container from the car so the trapped body could be removed.
