Ibrahim Gusau, the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has arrived in India to support the Flamingos ahead of their semi-final clash against Colombia at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Gusau will witness the semi-final showdown between the Flamings and the South Americans at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Goa, on Wednesday.
The match is slated for 4pm (12noon Nigeria time).
Victory against the Colombians will usher the Flamingos to the finals of the competition for the first time.
CEOAFRICA had reported that the Flamingos are the first Nigerian team to be involved in a tournament during the regime of Ibrahim Gusau.
The Nigerian team had also defeated United States of America 4-3 on penalties to break the quarter-finals jinx.
