The remains of the ex-spokesman of the Rivers State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni, have been buried in his hometown, Rundele community in the Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The burial ceremony was held on Saturday.
Omoni died a few days after celebrating his 54th birthday in August.
A valedictorian court session was held on Thursday, organised by the Rivers State Judiciary in honour of the late lawyer.
Dignitaries, including members of the Rivers State Council of the Nigeria Union Journalists, were present at the burial.
Until his death, Omoni was the Divisional Police Officer of Elimgbu police station in Obio Akpor Local Government Area.
