Terrorists on Wednesday killed two people, kidnapped several others and set the Gidan-Goga market ablaze in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
One of the indigenes, Mohammed Musa, who spoke with newsmen said the terrorists stormed the market with motorcycles and destroyed goods worth millions of naira.
He said; “They also killed two people and abducted several others, while many people sustained serious injuries.”
“The terrorists arrived in the market when businesses were going on and began to shoot sporadically”.
“This caused serious commotion as people ran for their dear lives as a result of which many have sustained serious injuries.”
“The bandits later set the market on fire and moved to the forest with the people they have abducted.”
“Most of them came to the market from various places, as such, we are yet to confirm the number of abductees, but they might be more than 30.”
