Gunmen stormed the Toro Local Government area of Bauchi State, killing two young men and abducting one in the early hours of Friday.
One of the residents who spoke with newsmen said the gunmen stormed the town between 1:20am and 2:30am, moving from one point to the other for two hours without resistance.
It was reported that throughout the operation, no security operatives came to challenge them and the vigilantes were left helpless as they could not face the heavy fire power of the assailants who were heavily armed.
The two men killed were identified as Abba and Anas Wanzam while AdulRahman Abdulrahman Danmalam was kidnapped.
