The spokesman, Obi-Datti campaign organisation, Dr. Yinusa Tanko, has disclosed that the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi will never allow education takes backseat if elected president in 2023.
Tanko, who was speaking at a press briefing announcing the campaign visit of Obi to Kogi State on Tuesday, said the recent situation where university students were made to sit idle at home for eight months in the name of strike actions would not be allowed under the presidency of Obi and Datti Baba-Ahmed.
He said; “Obi has a dream, a realisable dream, every Nigerian must come together and rescue the country from the present quagmire. This is our time and we must be prepared to free ourselves from the agents of oppression.”
Tanko said that the presidential campaign train would storm Kogi State to present the party’s manifestoes which reveals the plans of the duo of Obi and Baba-Ahmed addressing the issues currently ravaging the country.
He noted that all necessary  steps including permission had been obtained and the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja had been reserved for the visit.
Tanko said; “Party faithfuls from the three senatorial districts of the state have been mobilised to welcome the next president.”
He called on ‘Kogites’ and “everyone who are fed up with the present situation.” to troop out en masse to make the visit a huge success.
