Okowa’s Aide, Omonemu Resigns His Appointment As SSA On Wealth Creation

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Wealth Creation, Olorogun Edewor Tony Omonemu has resigned his appointment to focus on his academics and chart a better political course going forward.
Edewor’s resignation was contained in a letter dated January 31, 2023, and addressed to the Secretary to the State Government with copy to the Chief Job Creation Officer, Delta State.
He said in the resignation letter, “I hereby tender my resignation of appointment as Senior Special Assistant (Wealth Creation) to the Governor, His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa with immediate effect.
“The above is to enable me concentrate fully on my chosen career as an academic. I thank his Excellency the Governor for finding me worthy to serve in his administration.”
“I also thank the Chief Job Creation Officer for providing a conducive and convivial atmosphere to contribute my little quota to governance at that level.”
Edewor, before his resignation, was a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ughelli South Local Government Area, and was at a time, member of the State Executive Council as Commissioner for Commerce and Industry under the administration of former Governor James Ibori.
The lawyer cum politician has also held several positions in the successive PDP-led administration of the state since 1999.
