Supporters of the young people's party YPP in Akwa Ibom Northwest senatorial district also known as Ikot Ekpene senatorial district have congratulated the former minister of Niger delta and former governor of Akwa ibom state senator Godswill Akpabio for his landslide victory at the poll on saturday 25th february .
The chieftain of the ypp Chief Sunday Akpanurom in his message congratulated senator Akpabio of the All progressive congress APC  for winning the senatorial seat for the zone.
Chief Akpanurom, in a statement on Tuesday  described the victory of senator Akpabio as the will of God for the people of Ikot Ekpene senatorial district, adding that Akpabio will attract more dividens of democracy to the people of the area.
He commended the people of the senatorial district for the massive turned out to caste their votes, giving the former Governor another chance to represent his people in the upper chambers.
He also commended members of his constituency for listening to him  when he canvas for their supports to vote the Apc candidate against the candidate of the ypp and urged them to remain resolute,  continue to supports Akpabio the newly elected senator to move the senatorial district and the state forward.
INEC declares Akpabio winner of the Akwa Ibom Northwest senatorial district. he polled 115,401 votes to defeat the candiate of the people's democratic party  Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem who scored 69, 838 votes.
