Former Governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra state and a member of the Labour Party Presidential Council, Mr. Valentine Chineto Ozigbo has asked the Obidient family not to be dismayed over the shoddy performance of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the February 25 Presidential elections but to come out en masse on March 11 to show Labour Party Presidential candidate’s overwhelming popularity.

Ozigbo in a short broadcast to the Obidients said that Obi has shown resilience, love and compassion to his supporters and this has placed him in the revered place of Alhaji Tafawa Balewa, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

Asking them not to be despondent because of the unexpected impunity displayed by INEC on February 25, Ozigbo urged them to appreciate that God is following them on the journey and asked them to demonstrate on March 11 that Obi really won the election.

He urged them to come out massively to show that LP is on top because by now INEC has learnt its lessons.

“It is important that we keep being resilient and focused on new Nigeria”, he asked.

Also, the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has appealed to the people of the state to vote for candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the March 11th, 2023 State House of Assembly elections.

According to him, voting for APGA candidates during the election, would help him sustain the tempo of development across the 21 local government areas of the State.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Mr. Christian Aburime who spoke to Journalists in Awka, on Governor’s behalf at the weekend ahead of the Saturday’s House of Assembly election in the State said the best way for the people to support Soludo’s development strides was for them to massively vote the candidates of APGA in the election.

He noted that massive support for APGA’s candidates will enable the Governor to work and attract more dividends of democracy to the State.

He said: “If we have APGA in control of the state Assembly, we will continue to do our jobs unhindered.

“But, if the opposition is allowed to have their way, it means that development will be stalled”.

He assured that if the people would listen to his appeal and vote the party’s candidates, before the end of Soludo’s first term in office, Anambra State will emerge the most secure, business-friendly, livable and prosperous State in Nigeria.

He also appealed to Journalists to always report issues that will sustain the already existing peace in the State.
