Fidelity Bank Plc at the weekend gave out a total of N11.62 million to 33 lucky customers in the fourth draw of its ‘Save-4-Scholarship’ promo.

At the end of the draw, Ohaeri Charles Ukachukwu emerged the star prize winner of N2 million. Also, another customer from Lagos state, Chukwujekwu Osai won N1 million. Also, while a total of eight customers of the bank across the country were rewarded with N500,000 respectively, 21 other lucky customers were rewarded with N210,000 each. In addition generators and refrigerators were also won.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Director, Shared Services, Fidelity Bank, Mrs. Chijioke Ugochukwu noted that as the name of the promo implies, “we are focusing on cash awards to support education.”
She explained: “This is because of the importance the bank, the country and individuals everywhere attach to education and the opportunities it offers.

“Education is the platform for generational transformation everywhere in the world and Nigeria is not an exception. It is Nigeria that a driver’s son can rise to have a master’s degree, it is in Nigeria that a market women can train six people schooling in the United States, and these are the type of things that the bank intends to encourage.

“We want a situation where someone will grow up tomorrow and say he was able to attain a certain level of education because of the money his parents won from the promo.”

Commenting on the promo, the Head of Retail Banking, Fidelity Bank, Mr. Richard Madiebo said it would help the customers develop a culture of setting aside a fraction of their income to meet future needs.
