A documentary on the two-term tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari will be aired across different broadcast platforms between Sunday, May 21, 2023, and Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
In a statement on Saturday, Femi Adesina, special adviser to the president on media and publicity, said the documentary which would be streamed for about an hour, would highlight the summary of the achievements of Buhari’s administration.
“With the conclusion of the eight-year, two-term tenure of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, the media department of the state house has produced a 55-minute documentary titled, ‘Muhammadu Buhari was here’, ” the statement reads.
“The documentary which showcases the high points of the government will air as follows; Channels Television (Sunday, May 21 at 6.00 pm), NTA (Monday, May 22 at 8.00 pm), and TVC (Tuesday, May 23 at 6.00 pm). Kindly watch.”
Meanwhile, Buhari is to hand over power to Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, on May 29, 2023.
Ahead of his handover, Buhari signed executive order 14 to enable the facilitation and management of presidential transitions.
The executive order has put a legal framework in place for the seamless transition of power.
Speaking on his exit and performance, Buhari had said he accepts all the criticism thrown at his administration in good stead because it’s part of leadership.
He also asked Nigerians to forgive him in any way he might have hurt them, saying “all those that I have hurt, I ask that they pardon me”.
