Insecurity: Police declare man wanted in Osun for illegal possession of firearms; place NN200,000 bounty on him

Osun state police command have declared a 31-year-old man, Orowole Adekunle Rotimi, wanted for unlawful possession of firearms and giving false information to the police.

The command also placed a bounty of N200,000 reward on Rotimi's head.

Police Public Relations Officers (PPRO) Zone 11, CSP Benjamin Ayeni, who disclosed this at a press briefing on Thursday, June 15, 2023. said the Zone 11 Command is investigating a case of unlawful possession of firearms, giving false information to the police and other charges that emanated from the matter.

According to the PPRO, Orowole Adekunle Rotimi who is a principal suspect in the case refused to show up to defend allegation and efforts made by the police to reach on him had proved abortive as he has gone into hiding making it difficult to continue with the case.

“The Nigeria Police Force, Zone XI Command, therefore, wishes to notify the public that Mr. Orowole Adekunle Rotimi, a Nigerian national from Ile-Ife in Osun State has been declared wanted,” Ayeni stated.

"Orowole Adekunle Rotimi is about 31 years of age, fair in complexion, 1.70m tall, pointed nose, bald head and sometimes he keeps a beard.

"Anybody that harbour this suspect will be treated by the police as an accomplice. Anyone having useful information as to his where about will be handsomely rewarded with N200,000.
