The senate has commenced screening of 14 of President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial nominees.
The process commenced on Monday after David Umahi, deputy majority leader, moved a motion to that effect.
Fourteen (14) nominees, including Nyesom Wike, immediate past governor of Rivers, were screened on Monday.
Last week, the president sent a list of 28 ministerial nominees to the senate for confirmation.
Umahi, former governor of Ebonyi and Wale Edun, a former commissioner of finance in Lagos, have just been screened.
Others to be screened today are Nasir el-Rufai, immediate past governor of Kaduna; and Dele Alake, special adviser to the president, special duties, communications and strategy.
