Christians Association of Nigerian (CAN), Ogun East Senatorial District, on Monday, held a prayer session for the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate in the 2015 election, Prince Dapo Abiodun, in support of his ambition.

Leading the prayer session which held at Itoro Town Hall, Ijebu-Ode, Reverend Sobayo, the CAN chairman in Ijebu Ode, prayed for the success of the APC candidate, revealing that the prayer became necessary due to the godly disposition of the APC candidate.

He explained that the association isn’t partisan in its activities but stated that Prince Abiodun is a candidate that could be vouched for in terms of giving the people good representation they desired.

The cleric stated that it is the responsibility of ministers of God to enjoin their congregation to ensure they perform their civic duties by getting their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the general election.

In his comment, the CAN coordinator for Remo, Pastor Malato Ikuesan, noted that they had to organise prayers for Prince Abiodun to emerge victorious at the election because some persons might want to perpetrate electoral fraud on the Election Day.

All CAN executives in the district were present at the event attended by local government chairmen and party chieftains as well as some members of the party, including women wing of APC.
