On the auspicious occasion of Igbo Elerin Grammar School's 67th Founder's Day, Alhaji Sikiru Olawale Ajila, a distinguished alumnus, is set to honor his alma mater by donating a blocks of classrooms. The event will be held at the IEGS Dining Hall on February 17, 2024.

Ajila is a renowned philanthropist, has always had a strong connection to his former school and understands the importance of education. To mark the momentous occasion, he has chosen to contribute to the betterment of the school and the futures of its students.

Having experienced the benefits of a solid education at Igbo Elerin Grammar School, Ajila wants to give back and ensure that future generations have access to quality education in a conducive environment. His donation of  blocks   of classrooms  reflects his gratitude and commitment to the school's success.

The Founder's Day celebration will bring together alumni, staff, and students under the theme "Honoring the Past, Building the Future" This event will not only commemorate the school's history but also highlight its vision for growth and development in the coming years.

Ajila, who was born in Ibadan, Oyo State, on August 25, 1965, received his primary education at St. Peters Catholic School, Oke Are, Ibadan from 1972 to 1978. He went on to attend Igbo Elerin Grammar School and distinguished himself academically, serving as the Health Prefect in 1984. He pursued higher education at The Polytechnic Ibadan from 1984 to 1986 and later at Obafemi Awolowo University from 1986 to 1991, where he earned a BSc in Quantity Surveying. He furthered his studies and obtained an MBA from Nile University, Abuja. He is married to Hajia Moriliat Wumi Ajila and blessed with wonderful children.

Professionally, Ajila has established himself as an accomplished quantity surveyor. He became a corporate member of Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) in 2011 and subsequently a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors. Additionally, that same year, he earned certification as an Arbitrator from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

.Ajila is also a skilled and intelligent leader having attended several leadership and professional courses in Nigeria and overseas including strategic pension fund administration course in Nigeria Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos. He also did leadership courses in Rwanda, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, France, Holland, Germany and Finland. In 2022, he was appointed the Managing Director of Stallion Property Development Company, a subsidiary of NNPC Pension Funds Ltd, where he utilizes the corporation's vast land assets for real estate development.

In addition to his professional achievements, Ajila is actively involved in mentoring emerging professionals in his field through his membership in the Abuja FCT-Chapter of NIQS. He is known for his respect for diversity and his ability to engage with individuals from varying religious and ethnic backgrounds.

The donation of the classroom block by Alhaji Sikiru Olawale Ajila will undoubtedly enhance the learning experience for future students at Igbo Elerin Grammar School.
