Chrisland University, Abeokuta, on Thursday, 29th February 2024, matriculated 394 students for the 2023/2024 session.

The event which was held at the university’s auditorium was the 9th matriculation of the great citadel of learning.

It was themed “Winning”.

The matriculation guest speaker was Dr. (Mrs.) Kate Ikechi Isa (D.Sc.), founder and CEO Katchey Company Limited.

In her address, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Chinedum Peace Babalola charged the students to utilize the opportunity they have very well while in the school for all they may need to achieve academic excellence and be the very best is already in the institution.

Babalola advised the students that the teaching and training which they will receive in Chrisland university is all-encompassing and has been carefully designed to help them be a trailblazer but they must have a positive attitude and mindset towards it.

On her part, the matriculation speaker, Dr. (Mrs.) Kate Ikechi Isa (D.Sc.), while speaking on the topic “this is how to win”, advised the students to note that they coming in the university marks the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, and the journey is going to be memorable and filled with lifelong friendships, connections, laughter, some tears.

She implored the students to never be disheartened by setbacks; instead they should use them as stepping stones for growth.

Speaking on the theme, Ikechi stated that winning is not just reaching an endpoint but embracing the entirety of the journey that lies ahead. Also, winning requires resilience.

She said “winning is not just reaching an endpoint but embracing the entirety of the journey that lies ahead. Winning requires resilience. " Failure is not the end; it's a lesson. Embrace it, learn from it, and let it fuel your determination.

“Winning is not about perfection; it's about progress. Be kind to yourself, be persistent, and believe in your potential”.
