The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia state has named the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr. Ude Okochukwu as the running mate to Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for next month’s elections.

Okochukwu, who hails from Nkporo, in Ohafia Local Government Area was said to have been selected based on his political acumen and track record.

Okochukwu has been a lawmaker for twelve years out of which he spent four years as the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly.

The Governor of Abia State yesterday inaugurated the PDP 2015 election campaign committee. The committee is headed by the immediate past chairman of the party in the state, Senator Emma Nwaka.

The governor charged the committee to ensure they deliver 100 percent victory for the party.
