“Awosoga, an example of transformational leader”, Chrisland VC lauds appointment as Professor

The Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University, Ogun State, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola, FAS, FAAS, FPSN, has lauded the appointment of Oluwagbohunmi Adetunji Awosoga as Professor.

 

CEOAFRICA on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 reported the appointment of Awosoga, an Applied Statistician with over 35 years of post-secondary teaching experience, as a Professor of Applied Statistics and Psychometric in Canada.

The appointment, which came as an interesting news for Chrisland University attracted the excitement of the Vice Chancellor. According to her, “we are excited and glad to be associated with Professor Awosoga, our first Carnegie fellow at Chrisland University.”

Speaking further to CEOAFRICA, Prof. Babalola described that Awosoga “funded the set-up of our Statistical & Research center headed by Dr Okunade, funded two research projects that were published, carried out curriculum design in Statistics, organized training/capacity building workshops for staff, opened the opportunity for two of us (Prof Akinbobola and I) to become Prentice Fellows of Lethbridge university among other achievements, all within 2 months.”

Eulogizing Prof. Awosoga as an example of a transformational leader and a man of impact, she added that, “his footprints remain in Chrisland community.”

“We congratulate him and celebrate with him on this well-deserved promotion. May God reward and raise him higher and higher in Jesus name,” Prof. Babalola concluded.
