The Nigeria Football Association (NFA) says the senior national female football team will begin camping in February for the 2015 All-Africa Games (AAG) and 2016 Olympic Games Football Tournament qualifiers.

NFA’s Director of Competitions, Mohammed Sanusi, however told News men on Monday in Abuja that the commencement date had not yet been decided.

“The team will be in camp for at least a month before the qualifiers, but we have not decided on the date the camping will start,’’ he said.

The reports said that the Super Falcons have been drawn to play the winners of the fixture involving Mali and Gabon in the second round of the AAG qualifiers.

The first leg will be an away match during the weekend of March 20 to March 22 while the return leg will be played in Nigeria during the weekend of April 10 to April 12.

For the 2016 Olympics Games Football Tournament qualifier, Nigeria has been drawn to play against Mali.

The first leg match of the Olympic Games qualifier will be at home during the weekend of May 22 to May 24 while the second leg will be between May 29 and May 31.

“So, with the way the matches have been scheduled, it is clear that the Super Falcons have qualifying matches in March, April and May.

“Therefore, they will soon resume camp in February for them to be together for at least a month before the matches. This is for them to have enough time to prepare for the matches,” Sanusi said.
