US Vice Presidential debate: Pence rips Biden’s failure to tackle ISIS, Cites Kayla Mueller

Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday accused predecessor Joe Biden of letting ISIS run rampant in the Middle East while he and President Barack Obama were in the White House.

Pence and Democratic opponent Sen. Kamala Harris were both quizzed on the role of American leadership in 2020 during their lone debate on Wednesday night when Trump’s veep let rip.

“When President Trump came into office, ISIS had captured an areas of the Middle East the size of Pennsylvania,” Pence said, accusing Biden and Obama of dragging

“President Trump unleashed the American military and our armed forces destroyed the ISIS caliphate and took down their leader al-Baghdadi with not one American casualty,” he said.

Pence also revealed that the parents of Kayla Mueller, a US human rights activist who was beheaded by ISIS after being kidnapped in Syria, were sitting in the debate audience at the University of Utah.

Earlier Wednesday, the Department of Justice announced that two ISIS terrorists knows as “The Beatles” will stand trial in the US for the torture and deaths of Mueller and three other American.

“When Joe Biden was vice president, they hesitated for a month, and when the armed forces finally went in, it was clear she’d been moved two days earlier,” Pence said.

“Her family says with a heart that broke the heart of every American that if President Trump had been president, they believe Kayla could be alive today,” he went on.
