OSOGBO- Tuesday, 13 April 2021: The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and former Governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, have settled the leadership fight between them.

The two leaders were seen embracing each other on Monday at Wocdiff Centre, Osogbo, venue of the Zonal Congress of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Fayose, while addressing the participants at the congress, submitted to the leadership of Makinde, admitting that “The Governor of Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde, my brother, my friend and by the grace of God, our leader.”

“Governor Seyi Makinde is our leader. Our supporters and lovers should not continue to put wedge in between us.“

He added that “I and Seyi Makinde are one from the beginning.

“Even though Arapaja has abused me so much, I will be the first person to visit him in Ibadan. Nobody has offended me and if I have offended anybody, I sincerely apologise. Seyi Makinde remains our father come what may.”

The ex-governor prayed the tenure of Makinde as the party leader in the South-West will usher the PDP into season of great accomplishments.
