The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, will not only grace the honorific occasion of the 97th Annual National Conference of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), but will also deliver the Keynote Speech.
The professional gathering of stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry, community pharmacists, clinical, academic and other professionals with dignitaries from all walks of life will gather in Uyo the great city of Akwa Ibom State, for the PSN Annual National Conference.
CEOAFRICA gathered that , His Royal Majesty IGWE ALFRED NNAEMEKA ACHEBE AGBOGIDI, OBI OF ONITSHA, CFR, will be the Chairman of the historic conference.
In a chat with CEOAFRICA, the PSN President, Professor Cyril Odianose Usifoh, said that plans are on top-notch to ensure the conference, which will hold from Monday, November 4, 2024, till Saturday, November 9, 2024, is worldclass event.
The venue of the event is Ibom Hall, a state-owned event centre and magnificent structure with state-of-art facilities. A former Director at the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Dr. Monica Hemben Eimunjeze is the Chairman, Conference Planning Committee (CPC).
The 97th PSN conference, will be another move by the Pharmaceutical society of Nigeria to continue its quest on repositioning quality health care delivery in Nigeria through access to quality , safe and affordable medicine. The address of Nigeria’s Health Minister will also strengthen the collaboration with the government towards achieving quality health care delivery in Nigeria .
Recall that CEOAfrica reported how the President of PSN, Professor Usifoh successfully organized one of the best conferences in the history of pharmacy in the world where the policy makers comprising of, the whole Executive, Legislature and the security chiefs of Gombe State where all in attendance for the 96th conference of the PSN, which was tagged “The Jewel City 2023.”
Last year’s conference held in Gombe State, was graced by the Executive Governor Mohammadu Inuwa Yahaya and his Deputy, Dr. Manasseh Daniel Jatau, Keynote Speaker, His Excellency, Manassah Jatau, Ph.D (Tauraron Waja) and Gombe State Government Executive Member, among other dignitaries.
