CEOAFRICA.com gathered that two security guards were shot by some hoodlums who attempted to steal cattle at a farm in a daylight robbery in Chisamba, Zambia.

According to findings, the incident occurred when the group of criminals confronted two security guards who were manning the farm and demanded that they surrender the gun before opening fire.

Confirming the incident, Central Province deputy police chief Edward Bwanga, told pressmen that the guards sustained serious injuries. According to him, the guards are Christopher Misela, 44, who was shot in the chest and throat, while Martin Lungu, 34, was shot in the right jaw. Mr Bwanga said the bandits got away with a pump and the shot gun. They are receiving treatments at Liteta hospital and their condition was described as stable.

He said, "I can confirm that we are investigating the shooting incident at a farm and the officers are already on the ground to try and bring to book the suspects.”
