The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has expanded the screening areas at all the nation’s airports in order to give passengers a better flying experience during the festive season.
The agency has also assured air travellers of seamless travel through the nation’s airports during the Sallah festive season.
FAAN also said that it has taken measures to increase vigilance and its security apparatus at all the airports in order to ensure safety of life and property of the travelling public.
A statement by Mrs. Obiageli Orah, Director Public Affairs & Consumer Protection, FAAN, stated that the agency expanded the screening areas in a bid to improve convenience for the travelling public.
The statement also urged the air travellers to keep an eye on their valuables while passing through the screening areas.
Orah emphasised that the agency encourages all travellers to be at the airport early enough in order not to miss their flights as well as reduce rush.
She stated further that international travellers must be at the airport at least three hours before departure, while local travellers are expected to arrive at the airport about two hours to flight schedule.
She also enjoined travellers to ensure that they pack their luggage by themselves, while also not leaving their luggage unattended.
