The Anambra State Chapter of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) has held a dinner in honour of the National President of PSN, Professor Cyril Usifoh at his visit to Anambra State.

It was organised at the conclusion of the courtesy visits of Prof Usifoh to the Obi of Onitsha, His Royal Majesty (HRM), Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochuku Achebe and Igwe Ezechuamagha of Ogido Kingdom, HRM IGWE Pharm. Alexander Uzodinma Onyido, in preparations for the 97th Annual National Conference of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) set to hold in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, from Monday, November 4, 2024, to Saturday, November 9, 2024.

Being a social gathering, the National and State delegations of the PSN introduced themselves amidst laughter and fun with the National PSN head.

Speaking on behalf of the Anambra State PSN, the Deputy President South of PSN Pharm. (Dr.) Egbuna Udeorah, welcomed the National President to Anambra State, congratulating him on a successful tenure as his plans to hand over the position of leadership during the honorific conference.

While Udeorah commended the President for being an outstanding leader who has the interest of his members at heart, a three-time member of the Anambra house of Assembly and a pharmacist, Hon. Obinna Emeneka, applauded the administration of Usifoh, urging him that, “we need to rebrand our profession, do not leave pharmacy. Do not leave us, continue to play your role, appreciating the efforts of administration.”

Pharm Felix Nkenna told Prof Usifoh that Anambra state PSN is a family with evidence of the friendly dinner organised in his honour.

The Anambra State PSN Chairman, Pharm Apakama Uche presented gifts to the National President as an expression of gratitude for the visit to Anambra State.

Reacting, Prof. Usifoh appreciated the Anambra State chapter of PSN for their support, outstanding reception and preparation towards the 97th Annual National Conference of the Society where over 4500 Pharmacist across the country will be gathered.

(Dr) Monica Ekwujeze; the Permanent Secretary, Anambra State Ministry of Health, Dr. Obiageli Uchebo; the Immediate Past Anambra PSN Chairman, Pharm Chinedu; Vice Chairman Anambra State PSN, Pharm Ifeanyi Igbuechi; Secretary of Anambra PSN, Pharm Chisom Uche; Managing Director of CEOAFRICA, Prince Cletus Sunday Ilobanafor, among others.
