Top dignitaries set to attend Anyabuike's 92nd Anniversary, book presentation

His Royal Majesty, Daniel Emereonye, Sir Ndubuka Akpamgbo, and Dr. Uju Agomoh are among the top dignitaries and academics set to attend Sir Isaac Anyabuike's 92nd anniversary and book presentation, scheduled to take place in Imo State this weekend.

The event, celebrating the life and contributions of Sir Chief Dr. Isaac D. Eberechukwu Anyabuike (1900-1948), will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the All Souls Chapel, Alvan, Owerri. The occasion marks the 92nd anniversary of Anyabuike's legacy and will include the presentation of a new book titled Christian Missionary Enterprise, which offers a historical survey of his impactful life.

 

The event will be hosted by Prof. Stella Lemchi, with His Grace, David Onuoha, as co-host. It will attract a wide array of distinguished guests, including dignitaries, academics, and members of the public, who will gather to reflect on Anyabuike's remarkable influence on the Christian missionary movement and community development during his lifetime.

Speaking on the upcoming event, Acting Vice Chancellor of Alvan Federal University of Education, Prof. Stella Lemchi, said: "The Royal Father of the Day will be HRM Daniel Emereonye, known as Egwelle Dioha Nma 1 of Umuduregwelle Kingdom, who will add a regal touch to the proceedings. Sir Ndubuka Akpamgbo (KJW), who is expected to steer the program with insight and decorum, will be serving as the Chairman of the occasion."

Explaining further, Lemchi said: "The highlight of the event will be the presentation of Christian Missionary Enterprise, a book that chronicles the life and mission of Sir Chief Dr. Anyabuike. Prof. Ngozi Okereke, who has been designated as the Book Reviewer, will provide an in-depth analysis of the work, exploring how it sheds light on Anyabuike's legacy in the Christian community and beyond."

"Additionally, Dr. Uju Agomoh, CPC Chairperson, Associate Professor of Criminology, and President of PRAWA & ES-Nzukoumunna, will deliver the keynote address as the Guest Speaker. Her presentation is anticipated to underscore the broader historical and social context of Anyabuike's achievements, linking them to contemporary community development efforts," she added.

The event will also feature a special address from Prof. Chinedum Babalola, Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University, who will lend her voice to celebrating Anyabuike's enduring legacy. Attendees can expect to hear from a range of other notable figures, all united in paying tribute to a man whose work continues to resonate.

Coincidentally, Prof. Chinedum Babalola is a fellow of Alvan Ikoku, where Sir Isaac Anyabuike retired from and was once the Head of the Department of Religious Studies.

Sir Chief Dr. Isaac D. Eberechukwu Anyabuike was a pioneering figure whose dedication to the Christian faith and community upliftment set him apart as a leader and role model. Throughout his life, he was instrumental in promoting educational and spiritual growth, leaving a legacy that has inspired generations. The 92nd-anniversary celebration aims to honor his enduring influence and the profound impact of his missionary work.
