NIGERIA ARMY RETIRES 10 GENERALS IN THE QUARTERLY RETIREMENT EXERCISE

The Nigeria Army has retired about top ten General of the Army who had given their fruitful years to the military service.

CEOAFRICA news desk gathered the retirement exercise in the army is a routine which is expected to take place every quarter of the year and not a form of penalty.

According to the military source which disclosed this uprising, among those affected were the former Chief of Research and Development, Maj.-Gen. Obinali Ariahu; the former Commander of Training, Doctrine and Command, Maj.-Gen. Babagana  Mungonu; Director of Training and Operations, Defence Headquarters, Maj.-Gen. Lawrence Ngugbane etc.

Meanwhile some of these top military personnel who have reached their terminal peak were earlier in June this year asked to proceed on the compulsory terminal leave.
