The clamor for the formation of new Alhaji Kawu Baraje-led PDP party has received the support 57 out of the 204 members of the House of Representatives in addition to the 20 senators of PDP who had supported the idea.

CEOAFRICA news desk gathered this new development from the briefing offered to the newsmen by the members of the House of Representatives in Abuja on Tuesday.

According to the briefing, among the 57 lawmakers in support of the new PDP party were; the son of former President Shehu Shagari, Aminu and the former Chairman, House Committee on Education, Alhaji Farouk Lawan.

However, a statement on this new development alleged that most of the supporters of the new PDP hail from the states of the seven aggrieved PDP governors.
