The families of Alhaji Jibrin Ibrahim, CSP (Rtd.), and the late Alhaji Ibrahim Gabra Moriki (Rtd.) came together to celebrate the wedding Fatiha of their beloved children, Esv. Anas Abdullahi Jubril and Fatima Sani Moriki, on Friday, January 24, 2025.

The ceremony took place at the Central Mosque, Police Command Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan. This union symbolizes the celebration of love and the merging of two esteemed families; both recognized for their contributions to community service and public safety. Esv. Anas Abdullahi Jubril is a certified estate surveyor, while Fatima Sani Moriki is a vibrant biochemistry educator known for her grace and commitment to family values.

The event drew a significant crowd, including notable personalities such as Cmr. Amb. Idris Abdulkareem, the Nigeria Labour Congress Chairman for Niger State; CSP Sanusi, the DPO of Bodija Market; and Alh. Abdulfatai Owoseni, a retired Commissioner of Police and special assistant on security to the Governor of Oyo State, along with esteemed dignitaries, friends, family, and well-wishers.

The Chief Imam officiating the ceremony delivered a heartfelt sermon, emphasizing the sacred nature of marriage. He advised the couple: “Marriage is for procreation. You must put God first and lay the foundation of this relationship on truthfulness. Sincerity and patience with one another are essential. The wife must be humble to her husband, and both must respect each other. Let your marriage reflect prayer, and I pray your union is blessed.”

CSP Sani Ibrahim, the father of the bride and current Divisional Police Officer at Uwani Police Division in Enugu State, expressed his sentiments, saying, “Following the solemnization of their union at the Central Mosque, guests will proceed to the Police Officers Mess Field for a grand reception to mark this joyous occasion.”

In an exclusive interview with CEOAFRICA, he said, "Today is a special day for me. I'm filled with happiness; many people have come from across the nation to celebrate with us. All adoration to God for this moment we've eagerly awaited. I pray for my daughter as she begins this new chapter; may God Almighty protect, guide, and direct her. I advise her to be an obedient wife and remain submissive in all things."

Fatima’s mother, Alhaja Sani Moriki, also expressed her joy: "I am overjoyed because today is my daughter's wedding. I will miss Fatima dearly; she is such a wonderful person. I wish them all the best."

Esv. Abdullahi Jubril, the groom, shared his excitement: "I feel incredibly happy to have found such a beautiful and caring wife. It was her character that attracted me to her; we met in our neighborhood. I anticipate a fruitful marriage that makes us and the world proud."

Fatima Sani Moriki, the bride, echoed her happiness: "I am thrilled about today. His love for children endeared him to me when we first met here in Ibadan, and I wish us a fulfilling married life."

CSP Usman Mohammed, a coursemate of the bride's father, remarked, "We are already family friends, and as our daughter embarks on this marriage journey, I wish her all the best. She won't regret becoming part of another family."

A childhood friend of the bride's father advised the couple, stating, "I encourage the couple to cherish one another. Marriage comes with its own challenges; they should be tolerant, humble, and love each other. Everything else will follow. They should also be prayerful because a marriage without prayer may crumble."

The festivities continued with a vibrant reception held at the Police Officers' Mess Field, where guests enjoyed a feast of delicious food and drinks. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and music, as attendees danced joyously, celebrating the couple's new journey together. The love and happiness of the day were palpable, as friends and family came together to create lasting memories worthy of this beautiful occasion and also to shower the couple with blessings and well wishes.

As Abdullahi and Fatima embark on this new journey together as a married couple, the community stands behind them, offering support and encouragement as they navigate this beautiful path. May their marriage be filled with love, understanding and endless joy. Congratulations to the happy couple!
