FG DECLARES NO PAYMENT FOR UNCOMPLETED CONSTITUENCY PROJECTS HENCEFORTH

The Federal Government had in its efforts to ensure effective completion of projects before payments were made has declared that it would henceforth not pay for any uncompleted constituency projects.

CEOAFRICA news desk gathered this from the statement by the Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Mr. Kabiru Turaki, in Abuja on Tuesday.

Mr. Turaki disclosed that the Federal Government has mandated the ministry to verify and recommend for payment all executed projects to encourage effective execution of constituency projects by members of the National Assembly.

He however noted that the project will henceforth be done in accordance with SURE-P model such that there is proper monitoring and evaluation that will ensure transparency.
