Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship flag bearer in Oyo State, Sen. Teslim Folarin, yesterday officially flag off his gubernatorial campaign.

The campaign rally witnessed huge turnout of party faithful in their thousands to identify with the party and pledged their committed loyalty to seeing the party into victory come February 2015 general elections.

Sen. Teslim Folarin, a man so endear to his people was in a frenzy mood. He assured the people that he will run a transparent and people-oriented administration if elected as Governor of the state.

He stated this at the flag off of his campaign at Olorunsogo area of Ona-Ara Local Government in Ibadan. Sen. Folarin gave an assurance that his Government will be closer to the people.

The PDP Governorship candidate solicited the support of people of the state to make his dream of ruling Oyo State become a reality.

In a similar remark, Minister of State for FCT, Chief Olajumoke Akinjide urged party members who were yet to collect their permanent voter cards to do so and vote for PDP both at the state and national levels.

She also seized the opportunity to debunk rumours that she was not in good terms with Sen. Folarin.

In separate remarks two notable leaders of PDP in the state, Alhaji Yekeen Adeojo and Chief Lekan Balogun described Sen. Folarin as a tested and trusted politician who is capable of bringing meaningful development to the state.

They reminded party faithful to also campaign for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan.

Earlier, the state chairman of the party, Mr Yinka Taiwo said PDP remained the party to beat in Oyo state.

Thousands of party faithful dressed in different attires with the colour of the party and picture of Sen. Folarin stormed the campaign venue to show solidarity to the Governorship candidate.

The Campaign train had earlier tour parts of Ibadan including Iyaganku, Oremeji, Ogbere,Idi-Osan, Gbaremu and Gbagi.
