Founded in 1959 by the late Chief Festus Okoli Nwankwo, the Nkpokiti dance is renowned for its energetic and artistic precision, capturing the essence of Nigerian culture through rhythmic movements and vibrant costumes. This dance form, often performed during festivals and significant cultural events, showcases not only the talent of its dancers but also the unity and communal spirit of the people.

The Nkpokiti Cultural Dance Group has gained recognition far beyond its hometown, having performed on various international stages and enthralling audiences across the globe.
