Excitement Builds for IFEADIGO 2025: An Unmissable Conference for Community Pharmacists in Nigeria

As the much-anticipated 44th Annual International Scientific Conference of the Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN) draws nearer, excitement is reaching new heights. Scheduled to take place from July 22 to 27, 2025, at the International Conference Center in Awka, Anambra State, this year's event promises to be a significant gathering for healthcare professionals across the nation.

The gathering will welcome a distinguished lineup of guests, including the Special Guest of Honour, His Excellency, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the Executive Governor of Anambra State. He will be joined by a cohort of esteemed leaders, including the Chief Host, Pharm. Tanko Ibrahim, President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), and the Host, Pharm. Ezeh Ambrose Igwekamma, National Chairman of ACPN.

Royal representation will be emphasized by the presence of Igwe (Pharm) Alex Uzo Onyido, Igwe of Ogidi Kingdom, and His Imperial Majesty Obi Dr. Chukwuezugo Austin Ndigwe, Ezeuzu the 3rd of Awka Ancient Kingdom, who will serve as Royal Fathers of the Day.

Setting the tone for the conference, the Chairman of the Opening Ceremony, Pharm. Ike Onyechi, MD/CEO of Alpha Pharmacy, will introduce the Keynote Speaker, Prof. Chukwuemeka Michael Ubaka, the Hon. Commissioner for Health of Imo State. Prof. Ubaka’s address will touch upon the pressing issues facing the healthcare sector and the emerging roles pharmacists can play.

During a recent courtesy visit to Governor Soludo, Pharm. Ezeh emphasized the conference's theme: “Technology Integration and Personalized Care: The Future of Community Pharmacists’ Practice in Nigeria.” He shared insights about the pivotal transformations happening in global healthcare delivery and asserted, "As pharmacists, especially at the community level, we recognize that the future of healthcare will be driven by how well we embrace technology—from digital health solutions to tele-pharmacy services and artificial intelligence in patient management."
