
Former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has taken a fourth wife.
The couple got married in a private ceremony over the weekend in Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory.
The new bride, 23-year-old Hiqma, was welcomed into the Bello household without any public event or large celebration.
The marriage was confirmed through an Instagram post on Sunday by Bello’s third wife, Hafiza, who welcomed Hiqma as the latest addition to their household.
She wrote: “Alhamdulillah, our family just got a little bigger and more loving! A warm welcome to our new family member, Mrs. Hiqma Yahaya Bello! May Allah bless our union and fill our home with love, peace, and Barakah. Amin!”
50-year-old Bello, who governed Kogi State from 2016 to 2024, is already married to three women named Amina Oyiza, Rashidat, and Hafiza.
His first wife, Amina, is a lawyer and philanthropist, known for founding the Hayat Foundation, which supports vulnerable groups in Kogi State.
The former governor is currently facing court proceedings over allegations of money laundering involving over N80 billion, brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
