FIFA has unveiled Trionda, the official match ball for the 2026 World Cup, at a ceremony in New York.
Designed by long-time World Cup ball supplier Adidas, Trionda features a blend of high-tech innovation and symbolic design, celebrating the three host nations — the United States, Mexico and Canada.
The ball carries red, blue and green colours, with design elements including Canada’s maple leaf, Mexico’s eagle, and the U.S. stars, all linked by a triangular motif symbolizing unity.
Technologically, Trionda boasts deep seams for flight stability, embossed icons for better grip, and an in-ball motion sensor chip that will transmit data to the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino said he was “delighted and proud” to present the ball for what will be the first-ever World Cup hosted by three countries, with 48 teams competing from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
The unveiling comes as ticket sales move into the next phase, with more than 4.5 million fans from 216 countries already in the presale draw. The tournament draw will hold in Washington on December 5, 2025.
