The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) joins family, colleagues, and the global pharmacy community in celebrating Pharm. Ahmed Ibrahim Yakasai, FPSN, FNAPharm, mni — former President of the PSN and esteemed Kachallan Kano — as he marks his 65th birthday today, 1st December, 2025.
In a heartfelt congratulatory message, the President of the PSN, Pharm. Ayuba Tanko Ibrahim, described Pharm. Yakasai as “a visionary leader whose contributions to the pharmacy profession remain timeless, towering, and deeply impactful.”
He noted that the former PSN President has, over the decades, distinguished himself as a symbol of integrity, innovation, and compassionate leadership, adding: “Pharm. Yakasai’s dedication to advancing pharmacy practice in Nigeria, his tireless advocacy for regulatory strengthening, and his unwavering commitment to public health have inspired generations of pharmacists and will continue to shape the future of the profession.”
Pharm. Ayuba further celebrated Yakasai’s warmth, humility, and exceptional ability to build bridges within the health sector, describing him as “a mentor to many, a dependable elder statesman, and a national treasure whose passion for humanity reflects in every aspect of his work.”
As he turns 65, the PSN wishes Pharm. Yakasai renewed strength, joy, and fulfilment. “May this new chapter bring grace, vibrant health, and deeper accomplishments,” the PSN President prayed.
